im not a builder, just an assembler
The shocker is I never grew up on motorcycles, my dad could barely keep a car straight let alone keep a motorcycle upright. I did however always have a knack for old cars. Most of my wrenching experience came from a brief stent with UTI, which I dropped out of. This left most of my experience to working at So-Cal Speed Shop and wrenching on my own projects. In about 2000 I started seeing guys scooting around on old Honda CB’s, and I dug it. I bought my first CB550 in 2000 and so the unhealthy obsession began. Over time the style preference shifted from old cafe’s to old Honda choppers. Wether full blown or just “stock chop”, I couldn’t get enough of these old 70’s/80’s built bikes. Over the last handful of years I’ve hunted down these old survivors to save them from their eternal sleep. How is it saving them if I just end up selling them? Well keep in mind that not everyone is like minded. Some folks like to do weird shit, like paint over old paint or throw away “cheesy” chopper parts. So lets keep saving some old shit!
