Paradise Road show

Palm springs, calif.

You may not think a place like Palm Springs would be the first choice for a chopper/car show. However, if you’ve never been to either the Paradise Road Show or Palm Springs, I’d say get off your ass and try it. This candyland of sun, cacti’s and cocktails is the perfect combo for a show like Paradise Road Show.

It’s like a finely curated art exhibit, but instead of old retro paintings, oil drenched machines are the masterpieces. Like an art show, these machines are all carefully selected and curated throughout the show. Within the Ace Hotel’s grounds, the vast majority of chops where old Harleys. You had Pans, Knucks and Shovels, but if you looked hard enough you could find an occasional Honda and Triumph chop. Which to this metric chop loving guy, was a very welcoming sight.

what else…

Now lets just say you’ve been dragged there against your will? Don’t fret, grab a cocktail and make your way around the vendor booths. These vendors have also been hand selected to fulfill your handmade needs. Once you’ve made your vendor circuit, let the beats of the house DJ lead you to the main pool next the the Amigo Room and relax. Grab another cocktail or beer or water and listen the stories in the air. One of which will surely begin with these words, “This is how I would have built it”. Those are always the best ones. All words aside the Paradise Road Show is a damn good show. It’s size, location and quality of scoots speaks for itself. Maybe next year will be the year I represent some more Honda 4’s.
